While I am more of a Doctor Who fan especially my favorite Tom Baker, I have a fondness for the original Star Trek series as well. I remember seeing Star Trek III for the first time in the theaters (couldn't be more than 11 years old).
I recall being frozen with sadness and couldn't move as I witnessed the death of the original (and outfitted) Enterprise while watching this scene. The original series is still my favorite crew. My favorites are Spock, Scotty and McCoy (and even Kirk who can be occasionally charming at times). This is a really good artwork portraying a turning point for the original crew who has literally lost a member of their family. Their ship.
